  1. Give a break to screen time and let your kids indulge in games involving eye and hand co-
    ordination, like carrom, chess, badminton, table tennis, cricket, coloring, painting, origami,
    puzzles and cards. These games will enhance their visual and brain function.
  2. Eating right is crucial, so a balanced diet full of fresh fruits and vegetables, especially
    green leaves such as kale, spinach and broccoli, also omega-3s found in walnut, and dry
    fruits like almonds, dates, raisins and figs, help EYES get the proper nutrients required, to
    function at their best.
  3. A number of eye diseases can be reduced with an active lifestyle. Hence simple eye
    exercises like palming, eye movements, sun gazing, all of these should be included in our
    daily routine, especially for children.
  4. Kids should always carry pointed objects such as scissors, knives or pencils with the
    sharp end pointing down. Besides, they should never shoot objects, like toys or sprays, in
    the direction of the head, especially away from the eyes.
