Manas, a seven year old boy from Delhi, was born with an acute condition of squint eyes, due to which his eyes were misaligned. His parents became extremely anxious and started checking with various sources to rectify the eye condition of their son. They consulted multiple ophthalmologists and specialists in Delhi. However, Manas was advised by all doctors to undergo surgery for squint eyes.
An eye surgery for seven-year-old Manas came in as a matter of deep concern and distress to Manas’ parents, who were unable to accept it. They were in a dilemma as whether to take a chance through surgery for squint eyes or leave the condition the way it is. However, to correct the condition was the need of the hour for Manas, as his parents observed that he was losing confidence in himself, day-after-day, to the extent that he avoided any direct eye contact with anyone.
However, after a final consultation with an eye specialist, Manas’ parents decided to proceed with the surgery as they were unable to find any alternative solution to rectify their son’s squint eyes.
